The Myaccountx Manufacturing and Bill of Materials (BOM) software module simplifies the production process for SMEs. It allows users to create specific recipes detailing the exact raw materials required to produce a finished good. Upon executing a production run, the system automatically deducts the consumed raw materials from inventory and adds the finished goods to the saleable stock. The system calculates the true landed cost of finished items based on real-time raw material purchase rates (FIFO/Average). Built for electronics assembly, food and beverage, and apparel makers, it provides complete visibility into production shortages and profitability.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if raw material prices change?

Myaccountx tracks your raw material inventory using a weighted average or FIFO method. The final landing cost of your manufactured good will automatically reflect the specific cost of the batch of raw materials consumed.

Can I add labor and electricity to the manufacturing cost?

Not yet — BOM costing today is based on raw material costs. Labor and overhead cost inclusion is on our roadmap.

Can I do a partial production or disassembly?

Yes, you can edit the production journal before finalizing it if actual consumption differed from the recipe. We also support disassembling a product back into its raw components.

Will the system stop me if I don't have enough raw materials?

Yes, the system acts as a safeguard. It will alert you to exact shortages and prevent the production journal from saving unless you override it or generate a purchase order for the missing parts.
